Corporate governance is the set of policies processes and customs by which an institution is directed. It is a topic of increasing importance in strategic management.

How a company is governed influences rights and relationships among organizational stakeholders and ultimately how an organization is managed.

In addition to the corporate governance requirements outlined above, Islamic financial institutions are required to have an additional organ of governance in the form of a SSB.

This course teaches the fundamentals of corporate governance from a variety of angles of the board of directors, senior management, investors, the media, proxy advisors, regulators and other stakeholders, and focuses on assessing the effectiveness and execution of governance roles and responsibilities.
